A portrait can be commissioned any time. The price is 2200.USD (plus expenses if travelling is involved) The sitter needs to plan on being in my studio for two to four hours so the "visage", the likeness can be painted.

The background gets fabricated by two ways:
The sitter puts together twenty things that are meaningful to them in a box or container of some sort...these things can be a swatch of fabric, a photo of some piece of family furniture, anything that has meaning. This is the source of visual information that I take from for the background. The other way, the easier way for many people is for me to come to the house or place the sitter wishes to have represented in the back ground and photograph; using the images in these photos to bring the background to life. There have been a few sitters that can not come to the studio for the sitting, and in this case I can travel to the sitter. The painting in general needs to be in the studio for about six months, however other arrangements can be made if the sitter needs to have it done in more quickly. There have been other portraits done that have not been put on the web-site as the sitter wishes to be more discreet.
